THE VALUE OF TIME..

In my previous blog I talked about how our life can be driven in a better way by knowledge. Well this life teaches us a very important aspect of living. We get to value it and treasure it like never before. That aspect is TIME. And it really is man's most valuable asset.

What makes time so valuable? According to me it's the fact that we have no control over it passing.Time treats no one in a partial manner. The same 24 hours is distributed to each and every atom in this universe.Humans with all their scientific development can not tame time. What we can do is mould ourselves based on time. This will help us harness the power of time which is invisible to almost everyone.

A life driven by search for knowledge pushes us to use time to its optimum. This when becomes a habit we succeed. It is rightfully said that success is the amalgamation of daily habits. When knowledge leads and time is well managed an individual can be catapulted to fame and riches. History has many evidences which brings out how humans who have been able to mould themselves as per time and have been able to achieve remarkable feats. When you treat time with respect you get that back multiplied many folds.

Humans are mortal beings. The quicker this realisation seeks in the quicker one gets the result. People who succeed are not different from common folks in any way. But their habits greatly differs from the masses. They respect time and use it to their advantage. This small daily habit adds up and shows as result. People often realise the importance of time later in life. Thus success and riches are achieved by people mostly in their 40's. Imagine the benefit one can get when this understanding seeps in early. Then one would also get the added benefit of higher metabolism which will enable greater productivity. Thus it's not wrong to consider time as our most valuable asset. It really is ,only when it's given the value that it deserves. Individuals come on this planet with one thing in their possession i.e limited time. Thus TIME is the only possession we have. Everything else is an illusion.

DELAYED GRATITUDE..

Our world today is filled with materialistic attractions. People today live paycheck to paycheck to fulfill their lust for such materialistic demands. They are not needs. This is true because such materialistic distractions are outcome of capitalism. These things are advertised in such a way that they grab sudden attention. People are made to believe that they absolutely need it. Thus these luxuries become needs rather than being just demands.

There have been studies that prove keeping cash away every month can result in good wealth accumulation. While this is true but the sad reality is that people spend this money on such luxuries. This results into stagnation and they do not move up the financial ladder. People believe that they could have better lives if they would get a pay hike. But this does not solve the problem. Once this spending habit gets embedded in our life style, with a pay raise we just increase our spending, thus remaining financially stagnant as earlier. The money is just a tool. It becomes powerful only if we give it the power.

The method or may I call it the practise of delayed gratitude is a habit when incorporated can do wonders in our life. This in the most simple way means postponing the wants for a later period so that we can concentrate on securing the future first. It does not mean that we should give up our wants. This practise in turn tells us to have conscious purchases. To give our purchase some time so that we can categorise it properly as a need or a want.

The categorisation is crucial. When a thing is a need and we can afford it we should do it right away. But once the thing falls under the second category we should give it time. We should ask ourselves whether our lives would be better when we incorporate that thing? Whether we have any alternative for that thing which is cheaper but can do the task equally well? Such questions will give us time to think about our purchase decision. And as seen, most of the times people avoid buying that thing. Thus hard earned money or soul kept savings is saved.

Some individuals may argue that we have one life and we should live it to the fullest. YES, we should. But having material possessions does not always make one happy. Happiness is a choice and we should only allow those things into our lives which can compliment our joy of living. Being financially deprived leaches away happiness and no one wants that. That is the reason we see people working soo hard to secure a living. But then these people give away their hard earned money is search of happiness in material things. They come out depressed.

We should have a balance of everything. We should delay possessions but not happiness. In the race to obtain more materialistic things people forget to live and end up having a half life. A life of regret at the end is what they get. Thus practising delayed gratitude can do wonders. Incorporate it as a habit and see dramatic changes in your life and personal finances..

TAKING IT SLOWLY..

We are surrounded with events and things that demand our attention. With the development of time this pressure has manifolded many times. The result ? Hypertension among youths. Heart attacks occurring to 10 year olds. Among many others.

It is basic human tendency to seek action. But human minds have limitations as well. There have been numerous studies that show that multitasking is a myth and that it has its toll on the work and health as well. All these things that seek one's attention are usually overwhelming and forces one to take it all in one go. This propels multi tasking and results into neglect and faults in the outcome.

Our education system has been designed to make all entities function equally. It does not take into account that each individual is different. The pace at which each person responds to tasks varies. As a result people are mostly lacking life skills. They almost never know the trick to handle tasks and pressure generated due to task loads. Thus, we can assume that the general masses are mostly incapable to cope with the trends that this new era brings with it. The evidences in support of this are evident.

This is not something that is not discussed often. There are awareness programmes being conducted in educational institutions. The common thing among these programs is that they treat this as a disease and try to heal the one suffering through counselling. A change in ideology is needed to bring visible changes. The youth should be made to acknowledge the changing scenario and provided with the skills to handle the same.

The demand for our attention is not going to decrease, rather the opposite of this is eminent. The secret is to Take It Slowly. Let the reality seek in. Give time to plan and prioritise the tasks at hand and then proceed. Never should we try to multi task because it is never fruitful.

Some tasks can be overwhelming but a mind well trained to contain these feelings is the one that can make it through. A well trained mind will find ways to better manipulate time and ways to automate tasks taking away unnecessary time. Time is the most valuable asset and it should be spent wisely.

Taking things slowly can solve half the problems by itself and the rest is just our action which can do the ultimate justice. Take the days one at a time and tasks too in the same way. This ancient wisdom is a life lesson and learning it is a life skill which we all need. Things are gonna get more complex. Ideal surrounding is soon going to vanish. It is high time to gain as much skills and wisdom as we can. There are many such skills and indeed this is an important one. Learn it and adopt it as a life style and never forget to take it all slowly in the process..

HAPPINESS IN LIFE'S SIMPLICITY..

Happiness is perhaps the most desired feeling. People do a great extent of things so as to achieve happiness. Some people work very hard and accumulate a lot of riches in search for happiness. These people associate happiness with riches. They consider happiness to be a destination. When they accumulate riches and still don't feel happy, they spend those riches on materialistic possessions in hope to find that long desired happiness. But most often than not they get disappointed.

Happiness is a very powerful feeling, this is true. But what else is true is the fact that happiness is a choice. Every situation of life offers us two choices. One is to get the negative side and react accordingly. The other is to look for the positive side and choose to be happy. The second trait is rare. People react easily and showcase natural feelings like anger, sorrow etc but rarely choose to be happy. This is probably because of the misconception they have about happiness being a destination.

Some people live a more fulfilling and happy life than others. This is because these people choose to be happy. But the most important thing about them is that they do not associate happiness with some costly materialistic possession rather they know the secret of finding content in the small things that life offers. Simple things like birds chirping, sight of the rising sun, feeling of the wind blowing on the face, smile of a baby etc are abundant and can fill the soul with happiness only if one chooses to recognise them.

Life is a journey. Its short. The purpose of life is to live happily. If we postpone happiness to the later years in search for materialistic happiness, we are destined to die unhappy, having never lived at all. All other feelings are natural reactions but happiness is a choice. God had this planned for the souls to be fulfilled even in the harsh conditions that life throws at them. At times of war people see destruction. But the souls that are enriched can etch out happiness in such harsh scenarios because they have the eye to find the smallest of things that can make them happy. The simple sight of a grass growing on a war torn land can fill them with happiness and re-affirm their faith on God's will.

Life is a flow chart of simple events. It is upon the individual in charge to direct the flow towards happiness. Simple things of life are very fulfilling. It requires no riches to be happy. The person who has understood this has enlightened his/her soul and is destined to have a satisfying death after a life heavenly lived. There is heaven where we want there to be a heaven, There is happiness where we want there to be happiness..Nothing suites better to end this flow of thoughts than this saying,"SIMPLE LIVING, HAPPY LIVING"

HUMILITY..

Our life is a beautiful play of opportunities. These are the chances that life offers to us so that we can change our circumstances for the better. The people who have an eye for detail can pick up these opportunities and utilise them. The form of this varies from person to person. The opportunities depend on the goal set by that individual. These lead to achievement of goals and success in life. They take us to the top but remaining on the top requires some effort and changes to our behaviour. The most important behavioural change needed is the inculcation of humility in our personality.

Humility is rare. It gets rarer as one starts to climb up the ladder of success. It is a prized possession. A person who is humble and down to earth even after being on the top is a person with deep ethics and enriched soul. Humility at first is a choice. A person can choose to be humble and down to earth even when he/she need not be. This is a character trait symbolising strong personality. This trait is the one that keeps a person on the top protecting him/her from the dazzles that often blind the masses that make it to the top.

Success is hard earned and often fought for. Humility is a choice for many but then there are those people who have been humbled by the struggles they have faced in life. Hardest of struggles result into the greatest of success. A person who had to go through such hard struggles values success like no one else. That individual knows what it takes to achieve that height. This enriches his/her soul and makes the person humble towards life. They value their position and do not boast about it. They also are sympathetic and encouraging for those who are in their struggle phase working their way to the top.

Life offers us opportunities. We recognise them and put in our hard work. The end result is success. But this is also a soul enriching process. The struggles and opportunity that life offers us make us humble. Whenever we get overwhelmed  by our success, the experiences from our struggling days bring us to the reality keeping us down to Earth. Such is life. Humility is a prized possession. One should search for this quality in persons they want to get inspired from. Because being humble is a choice that people make when they have everything which requires a mindset that is worth its value in gold. Be humble and down to earth. Ending this with the words of Steve Jobs is appropriate because he was an epitome of humility.. "STAY HUNGRY, STAY FOOLISH"..

CRAB MENTALITY..

We all have in our life time come across people who have duality on their minds. They are the individuals who show and speak about something but end up doing the complete opposite. When such people are present in someone's life then its a warning for that person. These are the individuals who should be decluttered from ones life. In the present era duality is growing. People have hidden motives for almost everything they do. Apart from the hidden motives its their interest that plays another important role in their life. It's not wrong to be self centered but being that at the expense of another is not a good human karma.

Jealousy, competition and many such feelings are the core reasons behind this crap mentality. They ruin the society and corrupt the young minds that come in contact with such individuals. Competition is good but only when its a healthy competition. When this leads to corrupt means to bring out one's intentions leading to the harm of others ,then it's wrong. Healthy competition makes people grow while the vice versa also happens to be true and in fact is the most common phenomenon in today's society.

To add to all this is the crab mentality. It's a literary term that has originated from real biological behaviour of crabs. When crabs are placed in a cramped space, they try to climb out. The one who succeeds is not let to climb out by the others who keep pulling it back down. This is called the crab mentality. In our society people compete with one another and most often then not they have the crab mentality in place. They do not let the one who is doing good to go ahead or help him in doing so. Rather they pull him/her backwards and play tricks to get that person demotivated so that he/she fails in the endeavour. This is common and is the root cause of stagnant growth in many societies and even negative growth in some.

The day people do away with this mentality will be the day when society changes for good. This requires a mindset change which is difficult to achieve but not impossible. Helping each other grow will in turn lead to a much sustainable development. If such unhealthy competition exists then growth will remain stagnant and the ultimate sufferers will be the people themselves. Let go of this crab mentality and work together which will not only help grow leadership skills but also will create some amazing relations that can be adored life long..
